Consumer Rights Bill 2022: Report and Final Stages Dail Éireann — 2022-06-29 ============================================================ Alan Kelly (LAB), Tipperary I will speak briefly. The spirit of this contribution refers to where people sign up to broadband contracts, etc., and are not receiving the full broadband speed but are still paying the full premium price. Our request is that we have a way of dealing with this. We suggest that if there is a certain number of transmission dropouts, etc., these consumers are compensated for the lack of service. I believe that the Minister of State is aware of the spirit of this Bill to ensure that more powers will go to the regulators to enable them to deal with this. We hope that the Minister of State and this Bill will actually deliver on that issue. --- Source: Houses of the Oireachtas. Licensed under CC BY 4.0 (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/).
