Road Traffic and Roads Bill 2021: Report and Final Stages Dail Éireann — 2022-09-21 ============================================================ Brian Leddin (GP), Limerick City I very much agree with Deputy McAuliffe who spoke before Deputy Nolan. The thrust of this amendment actually chimes with some of the points the Rural Independent Group was making. It is not so much that is very much in favour of electric vehicles but that it is about broadening the remit of the zero-emission-vehicle office to other forms of electric mobility. That would be positive. The Minister has indicated the amendment makes sense but needs to be looked at and discussed with the Attorney General. I welcome the Minister's intention to do so, with a view to proposing a refined amendment in the Seanad. I am happy to withdraw the amendment, as well as the related amendments when we come to them, in lieu of what the Minister has agreed. --- Source: Houses of the Oireachtas.
