Air Navigation and Transport Bill 2020: Report and Final Stages Seanad Éireann — 2022-11-09 ============================================================ Gerard P. Craughwell (IND), Labour Panel I second the amendment. We have discussed this and thrashed it out in the House about the licenceholders' forum. The important thing is that there is what I would call a mean and keen group of people who have a common interest and the fog is being taken out of the committee. The stakeholders forum will include all sorts of people who have no role whatsoever in developing a licenceholders' charter, but the people specified in the amendment are directly involved in the safety and safe operation of the aircraft. From that point of view, it is perfectly reasonable that it does not detract in any way from the Bill. If anything, it adds to the Bill. I ask the Minister of State to consider the amendment seriously at this Stage. It does not change anything from what she wants to do at the moment with respect to the stakeholders forum. The only thing it does is to bring the experts in the area who are drafting a charter into a subcommittee. It makes perfect sense. I ask the Minister of State to consider it. --- Source: Houses of the Oireachtas. Licensed under CC BY 4.0 (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/).
