House Sales Dail Éireann — 2023-05-09 ============================================================ Michael McGrath (FF), Cork South-Central I had an exchange with Deputy Connolly earlier about the future of the scheme. It is a scheme that the Government and I strongly support, given the fact that almost 40,000 people have benefited from it over the past number of years, many of whom would not have been in a position to buy a home without it. In the Budget Statement last year, it was announced that the scheme would be extended to the end of 2024. We will keep it under review in the interim period, with a view to setting out what the position will be beyond 2024. We will do that in the context of future budgets. Will the Deputy clarify his second point on the deposit and I will come back to him? --- Source: Houses of the Oireachtas. Licensed under CC BY 4.0 (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/).
