Ceisteanna ar Pholasaí nó ar Reachtaíocht - Questions on Policy or Legislation Dail Éireann — 2023-11-22 ============================================================ Leo Varadkar (FG), Dublin West It is up to the Deputy whether he supports the Finance Bill but I ask him to look at the merits of the Bill with regard to whether he supports it or not. If he votes against it, as he is free to do, the Deputy will be voting against income tax cuts for people in Waterford and help for small landlords and people who are struggling with their mortgages. If he wants to vote against those things that are in the Finance Bill, as he is free to do, he will be voting against help for small business around angel investors and to keep the VAT threshold for very small businesses lower. The Finance Bill is about the Finance Bill and I encourage the Deputy to vote for it on its merits. --- Source: Houses of the Oireachtas.
