An tOrd Gnó - Order of Business Dail Éireann — 2023-11-28 ============================================================ Seán Crowe (SF), Dublin South-West I have a constituent who is a farmer and lives alone. He had a prosthetic leg and, for genetic reasons, had his second leg removed. He piled on weight while he was in hospital. He was referred to the centre for obesity management on 8 September 2022 and was triaged in September 2022 as an urgent case. He was told he should anticipate an appointment in approximately five years' time. Obesity is supposed to be one of the big challenges of our time. Something is wrong. The system is broken. I have written to the Minister for Health. I have asked parliamentary questions. Will the Taoiseach use his good offices to look into this case? --- Source: Houses of the Oireachtas.
