Ambulance Service Dail Éireann — 2024-01-18 ============================================================ Peadar Tóibín (AON), Meath West The average ambulance response time in this country has been increasing significantly in the past few years, so much so that one particular and heartbreaking statistic is the number of times a patient was dead when an ambulance reached the person. In 2019 that figure was 700 and in the past year that has increased to at least 900 deaths. This is a very serious statistic that shows lives are being put in danger as a result of late ambulance arrival. --- Source: Houses of the Oireachtas.
