An tOrd Gnó - Order of Business Seanad Éireann — 2024-01-22 ============================================================ Jerry Buttimer (CC), Labour Panel I thank Members for their contributions. It is a mark of the esteem in which we all hold Senator Norris that the Order of Business has been exclusively about his contribution to public life. We thank him for that contribution and wish him many years of retirement. The old adage is that political careers end in failure. The Senator's is ending in anything but failure. We wish him well. I again thank Senator Ó Donnghaile for his courtesy and his participation as a Member of the House. As other Senators said, he was a strong advocate for the North, the Irish language and, in particular, an Cumann Lúthchleas Gael. He was a person with whom you could have a disagreement on a political level but on a personal level you were always able to have a cup of tea or a chat with him. He was a very nice, gentle, kind person. I wish him every success in his retirement. As the bell is about to go, the last word goes to Senator O'Sullivan. --- Source: Houses of the Oireachtas.
