I wish to make some general points. Amendment No. 10 amends page 57, between lines 36 and 37. I just want to find it because it relates to what I want to say. The amendment would provide that “The surrogate mother only should be allowed decide on any reduction of embryos and must not be obliged by the commissioning adults or their agents to undergo an abortion.” The Minister ran through his responses to various amendments. I would be grateful if he would detail to the House again his rationale for not accepting that amendment before I go on.
