Family Courts Bill 2022: Committee Stage Seanad Éireann — 2024-10-02 ============================================================ Helen McEntee (FG), Meath East This is a technical amendment inserting the word “ordinary" before "judge of the High Court" in order to be consistent with how such judges are referred to generally in statute. There are a number of similar drafting amendments throughout the Bill. Government amendment No. 29: In page 24, line 10, after “Court” to insert the following:: “and having regard to any information provided by the Courts Service on the number of matters listed for hearing and to the guiding principles in section 8 ”. Amendment agreed to. Section 24, as amended, agreed to. SECTION 28 SECTION 29 Government amendment No. 46: In page 34, line 12, to delete “a judge” and substitute “an ordinary judge”.
