As the Taoiseach will be aware, the Ombudsman has said that more than 1,200 disabled people under the age of 65 are living in nursing homes. Nursing homes are a completely unsuitable setting for younger people. It affects their independence and mental health. What is the Government doing to address the scandal of the 1,200 disabled people under the age of 65 living in nursing homes? --- Source: Houses of the Oireachtas.
