Remediation of Dwellings Damaged by the Use of Defective Concrete Blocks (Amendment) Bill 2025: Committee and Remaining Stages

I move amendment No. 7:
In page 5, between lines 26 and 27, to insert the following:
“Report on barriers to inclusion in scheme
2. Within three months of the passing of this Act the Minister shall lay before both Houses
of the Oireachtas a report examining barriers to full inclusion of affected homeowners
and others in the scheme including:
(a) the operation of the damage threshold;
(b) the issue of semi-detached properties;
(c) the issue of side-by-side remediation;
(d) the issue of retrospective payments.
The report shall set out recommendations for reform of the defective concrete block scheme to remove these barriers.”.
