Mental Health Bill 2024: Report and Final Stages Seanad Éireann — 2026-04-16 ============================================================ Victor Boyhan (IND), Agricultural Panel I note what the Minister of State has said and put on the record of the House. It is consistent with the briefing note we all received. My takeaway from it is that the Minister of State is telling us these amendments are about being compatible with the Child Care Act, about having regard to Tusla and its current status, and about the balance between the right of access and the work of Tusla as an advocate, because it is a legitimate advocate in many cases, and parents. This is my understanding of it. I also understand there is no change in the policy. I thank the Minister of State for this. I presume I understand this correctly but if I do not, the Minister of State might enlighten me further. --- Source: Houses of the Oireachtas.
