Institutional Burials Bill 2022: Committee Stage Seanad Éireann — 2022-06-28 ============================================================ Eileen Flynn (IND), Nominated by the Taoiseach I move amendment No. 2: In page 11, line 1, to delete "manifestly". This amendment seeks to delete the term "manifestly" regarding inappropriate burials. Again, it is a matter of principle. The Civil Engagement Group always talks about appropriate and inappropriate wording. We feel that "manifestly" is an inappropriate word to use throughout the Bill. Amendment No. 10 also seeks to delete the word "manifestly". Amendments Nos. 29, 33, 45, 46, 47 and 49 are all similar to amendment No. 2 in that they seek to delete the word "manifestly". I know Senators Ruane and Higgins would be passionate about removing that word. --- Source: Houses of the Oireachtas. Licensed under CC BY 4.0 (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/).
