Ceisteanna ar Pholasaí nó ar Reachtaíocht - Questions on Policy or Legislation Dail Éireann — 2025-12-11 ============================================================ Jennifer Whitmore (SD), Wicklow This is a blister pack. This is the safest way to organise medications for older people, those with dementia and vulnerable people. Access to these blister packs is not optional; it is a life-saving measure. This blister pack is as important as the medications that are held within and not provide funding for this from January is dangerous, callous and mean. I ask that the Government would sit down with the pharmacists and work out a deal so that people know they will have their blister packs in January. This has been raised repeatedly with me by constituents. The County Wicklow Network for Older People is very concerned about it. I am sure this is an issue right across the country. It is not okay to make people who cannot afford this to go without it because it is life-saving. --- Source: Houses of the Oireachtas.
