Child Poverty and Homelessness: Motion [Private Members] Dail Éireann — 2025-09-24 ============================================================ James Browne (FF), Wexford Thank you very much. We might look at the tenant in situ scheme. I am trying to square what Deputy Bacik said yesterday during Leaders' Questions, because the criteria in the circular I introduced earlier in the year put the focus on local authorities to prioritise families. The Deputy criticised that at the time. She said that single people were being singled out and left behind. Labour Party TDs did that. Yesterday, she demanded that I do what I did in my circular, which is to prioritise families. It is just bizarre, and I suspect she just did not actually read the circular that went out to local authorities, or what her own TDs said when it was announced----- --- Source: Houses of the Oireachtas.
