Ceisteanna ar Pholasaí nó ar Reachtaíocht - Questions on Policy or Legislation Dail Éireann — 2026-05-13 ============================================================ Paul Murphy (PBP), Dublin South-West The Currency reported today that, at the height of the genocide in 2024, the Department of trade authorised the export of €20 million euro worth of military-capable so-called dual-use goods, not just to Israel, but specifically to the Israel Defense Forces, IDF, or Israel's Ministry of Defense. What on earth was the Department doing sanctioning the sale of these goods, potentially for military use, to those organisations involved at the time of the mass slaughter of Palestinians? Did the Minister know anything about it at the time? Did he sign off on it? Did the Taoiseach know anything about it? Does this not make the case for full sanctions on Israel and for no trade with this apartheid and genocidal state, which is contained in our Bill that will be debated tomorrow? --- Source: Houses of the Oireachtas.
