Council of the European Union Decision: Motions Seanad Éireann — 2026-09-22 ============================================================ Robbie Gallagher (FF), Labour Panel The Minister is welcome back to the House to discuss these motions. On behalf of the Fianna Fáil group, I am happy to support the motions as outlined by the Minister is his contribution. Co-operation between states is vitally important in our fight against crime. It is a common enemy for us all. I firmly believe that the more co-operation we have, ultimately, the safer our citizens will be. There are two aspects to this, as the Minister outlined, between the EU and South Korea in relation to the exchange of data, which is vitally important. Again, the Minister confirmed that the data is protected fully in relation to that. I am happy to support the motion as outlined by the Minister. I have no further comments to make in relation to this. --- Source: Houses of the Oireachtas. Licensed under CC BY 4.0 (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/).
