Land Development Agency Bill 2021: Committee Stage Seanad Éireann — 2021-07-12 ============================================================ Pauline O'Reilly (GP), Labour Panel As a member of the Green Party, I thought it would be appropriate for me to come in on this matter. I thank the Minister for clarifying that this Bill is not doing anything more than what it says. It is not changing any legislation, unless the Bill specifically says that it is changing legislation. There is no legislation being changed that will put in jeopardy lands that are mentioned here, such as lands under the National Parks and Wildlife Service. I am not entirely sure why the Phoenix Park has been singled out. There are lands all over the country. However, I thank the Minister for putting that on the record. We need to be careful that people do not worry about the lands they use for recreation and, quite apart from that, our nature reserves all over this country. This is important to us. We certainly would not sign up to or vote through anything without having checked this. --- Source: Houses of the Oireachtas. Licensed under CC BY 4.0 (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/).
