Heritage Sites Dail Éireann — 2022-03-03 ============================================================ Hildegarde Naughton (FG), Galway West I thank Deputy Leddin for his query in respect of King John's Castle and Limerick City and County Council. Work and engagement is happening in relation to that site. The OPW work is important in the context of ascertaining the costs involved. We want to ensure that these sites are maintained and preserved. Funding issues are part of the conversations happening at the moment to ensure a smooth transfer. I assure Deputies that my Department is liaising with the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media because that feeds into heritage sites in the context of possible funding mechanisms. Deputies can be assured of our commitment in relation to that. --- Source: Houses of the Oireachtas. Licensed under CC BY 4.0 (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/).
