Animal Health and Welfare and Forestry (Miscellaneous Provisions) Bill 2021: Committee Stage (Resumed) Seanad Éireann — 2022-03-22 ============================================================ Lynn Boylan (SF), Agricultural Panel I am not saying the Minister of State is not correct but he is saying Department officials visited all the farms, but it was not about fur farming. In terms of inspections around fur farming, has anybody visited all three farms regarding demolition costs? My understanding is the Grant Thornton report, which cost €100,000, was a desk-based exercise from Dublin that did not involve anybody from Grant Thornton visiting any of the farms. The Department then recommended Google Maps and only one farm was visited in terms of demolition costs. I do not doubt Department officials have visited these farms for years to inspect whether they are within the letter of the law, but were all three inspected in terms of demolition costs? --- Source: Houses of the Oireachtas.
