Summary of this debate

Auto-generated

I move: That Dáil Éireann approves the Twenty Third Report of the Standing Committee of Selection in accordance with Standing Order 34, copies of which were laid before Dáil Éireann on 24th April, 2023, and discharges members from Committees and appoints members to Committees accordingly. It is not agreed on the grounds that it includes the removal of Deputy Neasa Hourigan from three committees which, in effect, is a punishment of her for voting against the eviction ban.

She was right to vote against the eviction ban and she should not be punished on that basis. As a vote has been called, it is deferred until this evening.

Built by scoring every sentence in the debate on how distinctive its language is, then quoting the highest-scoring ones back word for word and in the order spoken. Nothing is paraphrased or invented — if a sentence appears here, it was said in the chamber. Drawn from 114 words across 4 contributions by 3 speakers.
