Summary of this debate

Auto-generated

I have received notice from the following Senators that they propose to raise the following matters:Senator Aisling Dolan - The need for the Minister for Health to make a statement on the status of outstanding pandemic special recognition payments to hospital contract cleaners and caterers at Portiuncula Hospital, County Galway. Senator Victor Boyhan - The need for the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment to strengthen seasonal workers' rights, including through the introduction of strict limits on deductions by employers from seasonal agricultural and horticultural workers' wages for food, lodgings and transport.

Built by scoring every sentence in the debate on how distinctive its language is, then quoting the highest-scoring ones back word for word and in the order spoken. Nothing is paraphrased or invented — if a sentence appears here, it was said in the chamber. Drawn from 256 words across 1 contributions by 1 speakers.

Senator Barry Ward - The need for the Minister for Justice to make a statement on the courts modernisation programme, including the provision of additional courtrooms and hearing spaces to ensure maximum benefit from the proposed new judicial appointments on the enactment of the Courts Bill 2023. Senator Erin McGreehan - The need for the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage to make a statement on the funding provided to Louth County Council for housing adaption grants. Senator Tim Lombard - The need for the Minister for Education to make a statement on the process in place for the ongoing review of the scheme of reasonable accommodations at certificate examinations. Of the matters raised by the Senators suitable for discussion, I have selected Senators Dolan, Boyhan, Ward and McGreehan and they will be taken now. Senator Malcolm Byrne has withdrawn his Commencement matter, which I had originally selected. Senator Lombard may give notice on another day of the matter he wishes to raise.
