I have to inform the House that, in accordance with Standing Order 12, as both the Cathaoirleach and the Leas-Chathaoirleach are absent from this meeting of the Seanad, it will be necessary therefore to elect a Member to perform the duties devolving upon, and exercise the authority conferred upon, the Cathaoirleach by Standing Orders for the period of absence of both. Is it agreed that Senator Seán Kyne be elected Acting Chairperson?
