I move:

That, notwithstanding anything in Standing Orders, in relation to the Regulation of Providers of Building Works and Building Control (Amendment) Bill 2022, it be an instruction to the Committee of the whole Seanad to which the Bill may be recommitted in respect of certain amendments, that it has the power to make amendments to the Bill which are not relevant to the subject matter of the Bill, for the purpose of:

(i) amending the Residential Tenancies Act 2004 by providing for an increase of the notice period for termination of certain tenancies; to require landlords to serve a copy of any notice of termination on the Board; to enable the Board to assist in providing contact details of tenants to landlords for the purpose of facilitating a reletting offer, and to make other consequential amendments required to take account of such amendments; and

(ii) amending the Housing (Regulation of Approved Housing Bodies) Act 2019 by providing for an increase of the period permitted for an application for registration as an approved housing body, and to make other consequential amendments required to take account of such amendments.
