On prevailing side: this member voted with the winning side in 56 of 1,120 decisive votes (13 abstentions excluded). Read it as a government-or-opposition indicator rather than a measure of influence — the figure is near 100% for members supporting the government of the day and near 0% for those opposing it.
This is the point of the site: contributions keep the party held on the day, not the one held now.

Fáiltím roimh an mBille seo. Tá mé tar éis a bheith ag súil leis le tamall de bhlianta anuas agus tá sé go maith go bhfuil sé os ár gcomhair.
Where are the modular homes you promised?
I thank Deputy McAuliffe for raising what we should be debating rather than having Deputies sniping across the Chamber. We have major questions to deal with in the future in respect of drugs and criminal gangs in this city. I welcome the new implementation group which, as far as I know, was set up this week in Cherry Orchard. I hope it will have the same effect that similar organisations had in other areas. At the end of today, we are talking about people and communities. My community is no different from many othe…
This question is to ask the Minister what is the delay in regularising the status of those who have applied under the long-term undocumented migrants scheme, which closed for applications in July of last year. The scheme opened, I believe, in January or February of last year.
Gabhaim buíochas leis an Aire Stáit. I welcome the figures and the progress that has been made. I was hoping there would have been some type of indicative timeframe for closing the process. I understand what the Minister of State has said, which is that it cannot be closed because some of the cases are complex. Do we expect 90% of the applications to be dealt with by the summer or are some of the cases so complex that there is no indication yet as to when the process will be concluded? I welcome the scheme. I espec…
I have dealt with the case of a person who applied last February and in the meantime lost a job because the temporary stamp he was on ran out. The quicker we deal with people’s positions, the better. Have we identified issues that would cater for those not captured by the scheme? There are those who are undocumented or do not have a regular status here who may benefit from a similar scheme. There are students who have overstayed their period here and are now undocumented who would not have qualified in this case. I…
Three thousand nine hundred and ninety-five maybe.
I will not quote myself. Instead, I will read from letters I have received. I will not use names, however, as I do not have people's permission to identify them. Many of them are well known to the city council, homeless services and, probably, other Deputies. One woman wrote that she had been renting her home for ten years and had been served a notice to quit by her landlord, who intended to sell his property in April. She is out of work due to severe illness and is terrified of the precarious situation she is faci…
That is why homelessness went up.
An bhfuil sé i gceist ag an Aire an t-éileamh i mBaile Átha Cliath 2, 4, 6 agus 8 do Ghaeloideachas ag an dara leibhéal a shásamh chun déanamh cinnte go bhfuil an ceart atá ag daltaí oideachas trí Ghaeilge a bheith acu ag an dara leibhéal - rud atá séanta orthu agus diúltaithe ag an Stát go dtí seo - á chomhlíonadh?
Gabhaim buíochas leis an Aire. Na ceantair atá i gceist agam ná Baile Átha Cliath 2, 4, 6 agus 8. Tá seacht nGaelscoil ann agus beidh 128 nó 129 páiste i rang a sé ag fágáil na scoileanna sin ag deireadh mhí an Mheithimh. Níl spás dóibh siúd in aon Ghaelcholáiste sna ceantair sin - Baile Átha Cliath 2, 4, 6 agus 8 - mar níl aon Ghaelcholáiste ann. Níl an Rialtas ag sásamh na cearta oideachais trí Ghaeilge atá ag na leanaí sin ar fad. Sna ceantair timpeall an cheantair sin, níl spás sna Gaelcholáistí. Níl ach trí ci…
An fhadhb is mó leis an rud a choimeád faoi athbhreithniú ná gach uile bhliain beidh páistí sa cheantar seo nach bhfuil aon bhealach acu teacht ar mheánscolaíocht trí Ghaeilge mar nach bhfuil an Stát tar éis aon phleanáil chuí a dhéanamh. Tá a fhios ag an Stát ó rang a haon nó fiú ó rang na leanaí go bhfuil na páistí seo ag freastal ar scoileanna lán-Gaeilge. Tá a fhios ag an Stát le tamall maith de bhlianta anuas go bhfuil Coláiste Eoin, Coláiste Íosagáin agus Coláiste an Phiarsaigh lán go doras cheana féin agus n…

Similar to both of the Deputies before me, I feel Drimnagh has been ignored. It is a community with an ageing population but also a very young population where young families have moved into the area and there are many young children. There is also a new community in the area and many developments. The public health nurse, in particular, has a huge role in outreach in that area. If somebody is moved across one of the main routes out of this city, it makes it much more difficult for those who want or need those serv…
This issue will not go away. It is a considerable extra burden on those who depend on these services, especially the many vulnerable people who depend on them, whether it is the elderly, those confined to the house with illness or young mothers coming out of the hospital. There is an extra workload on public health nurses in trying to get from the Armagh Road centre, across to Drimnagh and back again, as well as whatever additional workload will be put on them because of shortfalls on Armagh Road. The public health…
