Is Senator Cummins satisfied that the matter has been clarified?
On prevailing side: this member voted with the winning side in 15 of 274 decisive votes (0 abstentions excluded). Read it as a government-or-opposition indicator rather than a measure of influence — the figure is near 100% for members supporting the government of the day and near 0% for those opposing it.
This is the point of the site: contributions keep the party held on the day, not the one held now.

Is Senator Cummins satisfied that the matter has been clarified?
The record will show what the Senator said.
We have two more speakers, please, Senators.
My apologies, Senators, but we have two more speakers who wish to come in on this issue.
Senator Cummins, the record will show what you said and will reflect that because it was read out twice. If all of the Members are okay now, we will proceed with two further speakers. We must allow then for the Minister to have time to respond. Senator Black has been waiting a while and she has five minutes.
That is not a point of order.
Amendment No. 16 has been ruled out of order in accordance with Standing Order 41 as having the potential to impose a charge on the Revenue.
When is it proposed to take Fifth Stage?
Is that agreed? Agreed.
I will briefly highlight the issue of Navan hospital's accident and emergency department. I am from the area of the country that sits between Meath and Drogheda. Drogheda is my home town so I am familiar with both Our Lady's Hospital in Navan and Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda. This issue has been discussed a number of times and there have been motions on it and so on. The HSE seems hell-bent on closing Navan hospital accident and emergency department, despite it covering over 200,000 people and a populat…
I move: That leave be granted to introduce a Bill entitled an Act to secure in broadcasting a better reflection of the diversity of the people, for that purpose to amend the statutory duties of broadcasters, to provide for a quota of female composers or performers in relation to music content, and to provide for related matters.
Next Tuesday.
I concur with the statements on guillotining and cutting off debates. It seems to happen every year as if we did not know the summer recess was going to come and we suddenly have to hurtle through business. Today at 12 noon outside the gates of Leinster House, Equality for Children and a number of other organisations including the National Infertility Support Information Network, LGBT Ireland, and the Independent Living Movement Ireland are calling on us to stand with their families. Currently, in Ireland, thousand…
We were talking about the definition of students' unions. We talked about this previously and this is something that came up when I was in the student movement, when we used to meet officials in the old Department of Education and Skills, which has now separated into two Departments. Maybe we were being a bit suspicious but we always got the sense that the officials did not want to define a students' union on the off chance there was a falling out. There was always the question of what would happen if we ceased to …
I thank the Minister of State for coming to the House. I echo previous speakers' statements that it is frustrating that, as per usual ever summer, there is a rushing through of all Stages of Bills. I do not know why that seems to be necessary. The debate on the Bill could have been done over two separate sessions. To hear all Stages in one or two hours is poor practice, especially when no pre-legislative scrutiny is provided for this legislation. The main purpose of the Bill is to ensure we have sufficient electric…
On International Day of Parliamentarism we might consider paying our staff a fair wage. We would not be here at all without them and I wanted to remind everyone that issue is ongoing and has not been resolved. It is one that is causing great distress and costing us staff. I wish to raise two items. One of my favourite topics, outside my beloved students, is the repeal review. I noted that in an exchange this week the Taoiseach said "fatal foetal abnormality works both ways as well". I am not entirely clear what was…
I move amendment No. 44: "In page 48, line 13, after “and” where it secondly occurs to insert “all”." This amendment is pretty straightforward. It is to insert the word "all". It expands on the meaning of relevant information and documents in the Bill. It inserts the word "all" before the records to show that there is no ambiguity as to which personal records are to be shared with an applicant. All of the records should be shared and it is a straightforward amendment.
I move amendment No. 46: In page 71, line 36, to delete "manifestly".
I move amendment No. 47: In page 72, line 21, to delete "manifestly".
I move amendment No. 48: In page 84, between lines 6 and 7, to insert the following: "(2) Upon publication of the final report, the Director and/or other relevant Agency officials shall make themselves available to appear before the relevant Oireachtas Committees.". This is a pretty straightforward amendment. It adds a provision to the Bill so that when a report is published regarding the review of an office of director of authorised intervention, relevant officials would make themselves available to attend the rel…
