The Minister without interruption, please.
On prevailing side: this member voted with the winning side in 782 of 793 decisive votes (2 abstentions excluded). Read it as a government-or-opposition indicator rather than a measure of influence — the figure is near 100% for members supporting the government of the day and near 0% for those opposing it.
This is the point of the site: contributions keep the party held on the day, not the one held now.

The Minister without interruption, please.
I thank the Deputy.
We will move to the next speaker. We are tight for time.
Let each speaker have the time to speak.
Allow the Minister of State to speak.
The next slot is for People Before Profit-Solidarity. Deputies Bríd Smith and Paul Murphy are sharing five minutes.
Quieten down, Deputy McAuliffe.
The next speaker is yours truly. The Ceann Comhairle has arrived.
I am glad to have an opportunity to speak about this hugely important legislation. Like everybody else here, I am strongly of the opinion that we need to ensure the independence of the new national maternity hospital. We have spoken about this many times with those on the health committee. We spoke about it many times before and I am sure that we will speak about it again. Our intention is quite clear. The next slot is the Independent Group comprising Deputies Connolly, Joan Collins and Pringle, who will have three, three and two minutes, respectively.

The Deputy has had his say within Standing Orders. He must not interrupt.
The Minister is to continue, uninterrupted.

I thank the Minister of State for her reply. Is she satisfied with the extent to which these matters have been addressed? How will matters proceed this year and is it in accord with the concerns expressed by teachers, parents of children with special needs and the students themselves?
If particular issues arise at exam centres anywhere in the country, is it possible to put in place some means of addressing them in time and on the go?
There have been many challenges over the past number of years and more to come. The biggest, in fact, are yet to come. I ask the Minister to address the issue of the European Union-wide response to the issues and challenges we are facing now. Will he ensure that security of the supply of food and energy, and accommodation for refugees and our own people, are the main challenges that must be dealt with? It is better to have a unified approach than everybody having their own individual answers. Will the Minister use …
