That is okay.
On prevailing side: this member voted with the winning side in 782 of 793 decisive votes (2 abstentions excluded). Read it as a government-or-opposition indicator rather than a measure of influence — the figure is near 100% for members supporting the government of the day and near 0% for those opposing it.
This is the point of the site: contributions keep the party held on the day, not the one held now.

The Minister of State, Deputy Feighan, is present.
Have we a Minister present?
What is the position with the Charities Act 2009 in respect of all sections and its applicability? Has it been fully endorsed and is it fully operational at present? Are there some outstanding amendments or changes?
This is a very simple question. It could even asked in less than 30 seconds. I wish to ascertain the reason for the sudden, rapid and worrying increase in cases of Covid-19 throughout the country, and to ask what research has been carried out into this.
I thank the Minister of State for his reply. I am a little bit worried because the figures seem to be going in the wrong direction at a time when the authorities are rightly placing greater emphasis on the need to curtail the virus. It was not evident from the Minister's reply but there must be some identifiable clue as to where the biggest problem is. It has been suggested to me that there is not a great deal of compliance in some quarters, and that meetings, house parties and other gatherings continue to create p…
I thank the Minister of State. I agree. We in County Kildare have been in the eye of the storm for some time and we have paid a high price for it. The second lockdown was quite invasive and created significant economic difficulty but the outbreak was dealt with, albeit at great cost. The national figures are now accelerating at what I would regard as an alarming rate and I am not so certain that we have identified the causes. While the Minister of State's reply was made in good faith, I would like some more informa…
Our time has expired.
These questions are to ascertain the level, extent and category of the various crimes reported in the last 12 months and the possible impact of the Covid-19 crisis on these numbers.
Has it been possible to focus special resources and reaction in those areas that have shown an increase in crime and particularly in those areas which have had a serious threat to the well-being of the community and the lives of members of the community?
I thank the Minister for her reply. Has there been a commensurate number of prosecutions arising from the increased incidence of crime in each category?
The next speaking slot is for the Government parties. Would a Deputy from the Government parties like to contribute? It appears not, so we move to the speaking slot for the Rural Independent Group. I call Deputy Michael Collins. Is the Deputy sharing time?
The Deputy is taking all the time himself.
Our next speaker is from the independent Independent Group. I call Deputy Joan Collins.
Ten minutes.
We will start with ten minutes and if the Minister of State is doing well, we might give him points. We will see.
This question relates to the ready availability of suitably qualified graduates, academic and technical, to meet the requirements of the workplace.
Is the Minister satisfied that in future years the effect of Covid-19 will not materially affect the supply of qualified academic and technical graduates to the workplace?
I am glad to have an opportunity to speak on this particular amendment. I can well understand the thinking behind Deputy Howlin's amendment. Some of us will always have reservations about such measures from a civil libertarian point of view. I know that many people in the House have such reservations. However, in the particular set of circumstances in which we find ourselves, the issue has broadened out. With no disrespect to Deputy Howlin or the Deputies who have supported the amendment, if we keep going this way …
Like previous speakers, I wish to raise the issue of school transport, which is a crucial element in the delivery of education services. In my constituency, this year in particular and in previous years, there have been difficulties with concessionary tickets and places on buses in Maynooth, Leixlip and Carbury. I hope this issue can be resolved and I believe it can be. It would be a pity, having gone to all the trouble the Minister has gone to in regard to the delivery of essential school and other education servi…
