I ask the Taoiseach to respond. We are way over time.
On prevailing side: this member voted with the winning side in 22 of 449 decisive votes (2 abstentions excluded). Read it as a government-or-opposition indicator rather than a measure of influence — the figure is near 100% for members supporting the government of the day and near 0% for those opposing it.
This is the point of the site: contributions keep the party held on the day, not the one held now.

I ask the Taoiseach to respond. We are way over time.
I thank the Minister.
In the interest of clarity, I wish to inform the House that the next slot is a Sinn Féin slot that has been used. The slot after that is that of the Regional Group, whose members have already spoken. The slot after that is a Government slot, and the two speakers are not here. Therefore, I am moving to Sinn Féin, namely to Deputy Andrews, and then to the Rural Independent Group. I will go back to the two speakers who are present from Sinn Féin and the Government.
I am moving on to the Rural Independent Group. Could we turn off the phones, please? It is unacceptable to have them going off repeatedly. I am trying not to look at anyone here but I ask that phones be put on silent.
I must now deal with a postponed division relating to Second Stage of the Flood Insurance Bill 2021, which took place on Thursday, 15 June 2023. On the question, "That the amendment to the motion be made", a division was claimed, and in accordance with Standing Order 80(2), that division must be taken now.
Is that agreed?
The Taoiseach should be allowed to speak.
There is no point of order.
Deputy, resume your seat please.
That is not a point of order.
Deputy Carthy, resume your seat.
I am now standing.
Deputy Carthy, you have completely ignored the Leas-Cheann Comhairle, the Chairperson, in this matter. I ask for your co-operation. You should let the Taoiseach finish what he is saying.
Please do not take two bites of the cherry. I call the Taoiseach.
An bhfuil gnó na Dála aontaithe? Is the business of the Dáil agreed to?
I ask for your co-operation. Up to one minute.
Deputy, let me stop you. We will leave the President out of this. Under the Constitution, he is not answerable to the House.
We are way over time. With the Taoiseach's co-operation, we will take the last speaker. I call Deputy Alan Farrell.
I am thankful for the opportunity to take part in the debate. I do not think life was simpler before. We had a most intolerant society. The Minister referred to 30 years ago when Máire Geoghegan-Quinn, a very courageous Member and Minister at the time, stood across the Chamber in the Minister's shoes. There was a long history before that as well. Back in 1977, a High Court case was taken by Senator David Norris. The lead-in to that case lasted a number of years. The High Court ruled against Senator Norris. That was…
I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 37 and the name of the Member in each case: Deputy Marc MacSharry - to discuss the Government commitment to upgrade the N17 national primary route. Deputy Frankie Feighan - to discuss the exclusion of housing estates with developer-provided infrastructure from the taking in charge memorandum of understanding between local authorities and Uisce Éireann. Deputy Jennifer Murnane O'Connor - to discuss the …
