I ask the Deputy to speak to the amendment.
On prevailing side: this member voted with the winning side in 22 of 449 decisive votes (2 abstentions excluded). Read it as a government-or-opposition indicator rather than a measure of influence — the figure is near 100% for members supporting the government of the day and near 0% for those opposing it.
This is the point of the site: contributions keep the party held on the day, not the one held now.

I ask the Deputy to speak to the amendment.
I have given the Deputy great latitude. I wonder where his contribution applies to the amendment.
I call Deputy Ó Snodaigh and ask him to speak to the amendment.
For general information, we are dealing with amendment No. 9, which proposes to delete "regulator" and substitute "rialálaí".
I allowed the Deputy that indulgence earlier on.
It is one indulgence a day.
This is the briefest amendment I have ever seen but it has elicited so much comment.
There we are.
Táimid go léir ag foghlaim.
How stands the amendment?
I want to stay with the theme of homelessness, in the context of Galway city. The Taoiseach's comment that homelessness is a stain on society is a self-serving myth. It is a stain on the policies of successive governments, including the current one. The Taoiseach said we should ensure people do not experience homelessness for too long and get them in and out. The difficulty in Galway is that those affected cannot even access homeless services; they simply cannot get into them. Simon Communities of Ireland, in its r…
The housing report.
There are two questions now left. With the co-operation of the Taoiseach I will take the last two.
We are here not to commemorate but to reflect, as my colleague rightly said, on our 50-year membership of the European Union. It has been 73 years since the Schuman Declaration, and it might be worth looking at what that declaration said. It stated, "The solidarity in production … [of steel and coal between France and Germany] will make it plain that any war between France and Germany becomes not merely unthinkable, but materially impossible." Any rational person would have to support that. It goes on, however, to …
I have a list of people who have shown an interest in speaking. I will not read their names out but I am sure they are fully committed to contributing to this debate, which is about to conclude. I am about to go to the Minister of State and then to Sinn Féin to conclude. While I read out a message from the Seanad, the Deputies in question will have a minute to get to the Chamber.
Seanad Éireann has accepted the Finance Bill 2023, without recommendation. Tá an Bille Airgeadais glacadh ag Seanad Éireann gan athrú, gan mholadh.
Níl aon duine tagtha. Nobody has appeared, so I am-----
I know things have moved quickly so I am sure people have been taken unawares. With the Minister of State's patience, I will give just a couple of seconds, literally, and then we will move on to him. The debate has moved much quicker than anticipated. Táim ag dul go dtí an Rialtas anois agus an Aire Stáit, an Teachta Calleary.
Given that this is a Sinn Féin motion, and Sinn Féin has the right to reply at the end, I will go back to allow others to contribute. I am not setting a precedent for the future, nor am I setting a precedent on behalf of the Ceann Comhairle. I will go back now to the Social Democrats and work forward from Deputy Cairns.
I am returning to a theme I have raised lots of times on the help-to-buy scheme. What are the Minister's plans for phasing out of that scheme? What further analysis is there on it? I say this having read all of the reviews, analyses and commentaries that clearly identify serious concerns with this scheme. I will come back to this in my two supplementary questions.
