Since this is a Private Members' Bill, Second Stage must, under Standing Orders, be taken in Private Members' time.
On prevailing side: this member voted with the winning side in 22 of 449 decisive votes (2 abstentions excluded). Read it as a government-or-opposition indicator rather than a measure of influence — the figure is near 100% for members supporting the government of the day and near 0% for those opposing it.
This is the point of the site: contributions keep the party held on the day, not the one held now.

There are a number of speakers and each will have up to a minute and a half.
I thank the Social Democrats for allowing me to use their slot. I am on record repeatedly condemning the illegal invasion of Ukraine by Russia. I am not going to repeat that condemnation, which is without reservation. However, I will use the few minutes available to me to express my extreme concern that the situation in Ukraine is being used to fuel dialogue that is undermining our neutrality. This has been denied by the Tánaiste, who has unfortunately left the Chamber, and the Taoiseach, and vice versa when the ro…
I thank Sinn Féin and Deputy Ward in particular for tabling the motion. The motion is practical and includes two of the recommendations in Dr. Susan Finnerty's report. It calls for the Government to accept there has to be a clinical review, and that there will be a timeline for it and when it will be completed. The second recommendation is equally important: the immediate regulation of CAMHS under the Mental Health Act. Dr. Finnerty's report has pointed out that the Mental Health Commission has "no legal power to e…

Deputy Gary Gannon - To discuss antisocial behaviour and policing in Cabra, Dublin 7. Deputy Jennifer Whitmore - To discuss the barriers to access to hyperemesis medication in pregnancy. Go raibh maith agat, a Aire. You will have a chance to come back in.
Go raibh agat. You will have a chance to come back in again.
Déanaim comhghairdeas leis an Aire Stáit agus guím gach rath air ina ról nua.
This question relates to the legacy framework arising from Galway 2020. Can the Minister give me the status of that framework? Has it been published? Is there a breakdown of the way the €1 million that is left will be spent? Could the Minister give me full details relating to this? She knows the background to this issue. It was not just Covid or bad weather. There was a history prior to these events and the Department set up a special monitoring unit.
I do not know where to go with this language but I thank the Minister for her response. We had Galway 2020. A total of €15 million was committed by the Department. A total of €1 million is outstanding. That was for Galway 2020. I understand this company is gone as of this month and no longer exists and we now have Galway Culture Company. The only creativity here seems to involve the various organisations, including the organisation of the management of the city council, with regard to what they did with the €1 mill…
I know the Minister's heart is in the right place and she has done a tremendous amount for artists. Here she is left with this gobbledegook regarding Galway Culture Company, which has just been formed by various groups in the west of Ireland. Where do the artists come into any of this? Forgive me for being so naive to think that 2020 was about enhancing artists, working with them on the ground and leaving a legacy - a legacy on many levels, including buildings just like was done in the city in Croatia. Nothing like…
Baineann mo cheist leis an tascfhórsa, a cuireadh tús leis, breis is trí bliana ó shin i nGaillimh. Cá bhfuil na tuarascálacha maidir le 2021 agus 2022? My question relates to the task force that was set up more than three years ago in Galway because of the housing emergency there. Three years later, that task force still rumbles on. I have before me my last communication to the Minister in March 2021, which related to 2020. Where are we now? I will come back to the real world for the Minister in respect of the Sim…
Déanaim comhghairdeas leis an Aire Stáit as a fhreagra díreach agus ionraic. I thank him for his straight and direct response. We are talking about a city where a task force was set up in 2019 and where the Simon report - unfortunately, the Minister has had to step out - tells us about the lived experience of real people. Can he imagine that rents have gone up 24% in County Longford, 20% in counties Roscommon, Leitrim and Cavan, and more than 14% in County Galway? That 14% is staggering in itself. We have a city wh…
I will correct what I said. Rents have risen by 16.4% in County Galway. This is the Simon Community's 28th report - it has been published every quarter over seven years - which gives us a snapshot over a three-day period. What does it tell us? No properties are available under HAP, which is the big scheme in town that Deputy Bacik deplored earlier. She forget to say, however, that HAP was the turning point in housing policy, when Fianna Fáil and the Labour Party stated that HAP was the only game in town and removed…
I thank the Deputy. I have asked for-----
I have already asked for the script. It is coming.
Sinn Féin is next.
It is the Deputy's turn.
I have let the clapping go on until now because I know there is an eager group of people in the Gallery but it really is not permitted in the Dáil Chamber. If they could restrain themselves, I would appreciate it.
I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 37 and the name of the Member in each case: Deputy Aengus Ó Snodaigh - To discuss naming the new national children's hospital in honour of the former Deputy Dr. Kathleen Lynn. Deputy Donnchadh Ó Laoghaire - To discuss an update on and actions arising from consultations with survivors of institutional abuse. Deputy Holly Cairns - To discuss measures to increase the uptake of cervical screening. Deputy M…
