On prevailing side: this member voted with the winning side in 22 of 449 decisive votes (2 abstentions excluded). Read it as a government-or-opposition indicator rather than a measure of influence — the figure is near 100% for members supporting the government of the day and near 0% for those opposing it.
This is the point of the site: contributions keep the party held on the day, not the one held now.

We either respect Amnesty International or we do not.
It is what I am trying to find out.
I thank the Taoiseach.
There are several speakers and the time is limited.
We are going to run out of time for other speakers. I call Deputy Ó Ríordáin.
I am afraid the bad news for the Taoiseach is that there is only one minute left for all of these questions.
Gabh mo leithscéal ach táimid thar-am anois.
I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 37 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Michael Healy-Rae - to discuss assessments for, testing and treatment of Lyme disease in Ireland; (2) Deputy Ged Nash - to discuss the backlog of ophthalmic services for children and medical card patients in County Louth; (3) Deputy Chris Andrews - to discuss a breakdown of the €80 million announced in funding for Irish sporting organisations; (4) …
I thank Sinn Féin and, in particular, Deputy Clarke for tabling the motion, which I have no difficulty in supporting. It is disappointing that the Government has tabled an amendment. I thought sense would have prevailed and that we would make language mean something in that we heard what the Women of Honour whom I met last week told us. I thank Deputy Tóibín for organising that. We heard them, we believed them, and then we proceeded to ignore them. That is what we are doing here. In the first instance I want to dea…
That completes Priority Questions. I am tempted to thank the Members for co-operating regarding time and to say the co-operation is because of the gender representation. Anyway, we stayed within time for Priority Questions.
The Select Committee on Finance, Public Expenditure and Reform, and Taoiseach has completed its consideration of the following Revised Estimates for Public Services for the service of the year ending 31 December 2022: Votes 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 18, 19, 39 and 43. The Select Committee on Agriculture and the Marine has completed its consideration of the following Revised Estimate for Public Services for the year ending 31 December 2022: Vote 30.
We must move to the next question.
We can go back to Question No. 14. We had skipped it so the sequencing is out.
Baineann mo cheist leis an taighde atá beartaithe ag Roinn an Aire bunaithe ar an moladh ag eascairt as tuarascáil an bhreitheamh Ryan a foilsíodh in 2019. My question relates to the status of the research and data project that arises from action 65 of the report prepared by Mr. Justice Ryan in 2009. What is the status of that research? Has it been commissioned? Are there terms of reference? When will it start and when will it be completed?
I thank the Minister. I am delighted he is delighted, but the report was published in 2009 and here we are, 13 years later. I really would like a timeframe in respect of the research. Who is carrying it out? I am delighted that we are now going to listen to the voices of children. Those voices were never listened to in the past. There are 6,000 children in care. Every year, 500 children come out of the system at the age of 18. Focus Ireland has described this as a cliff edge, with one third of those who have left c…
I welcome the progress and, as always, the bona fides of the Minister but I still do not have a handle on when this is going to start, when it will finish and who will spearhead it. How much information will be available publicly? Are there terms of reference and so on? I ask those questions specifically because it is now 2022 and some actions of the Ryan report have still not been implemented. They did not form part of my question but it is important to point out they have not been implemented. I would appreciate …
Perhaps the Department can follow up on what has been said today and I will take it up from there.
May we have the time from all the other groups?
I will reluctantly support the motion. The fund is very positive, although I have the greatest reservations about the regulation on which it is based and, like my colleague, about the theory behind it. It seems to be the building-up of a fortress Europe while giving a little money this way to calm the masses and dissent. In that context, I will support it. I have a number of questions about the fund. This is our third time getting it. How was the money broken down on the previous occasion? I have some concern also …
