Yes.
On prevailing side: this member voted with the winning side in 22 of 449 decisive votes (2 abstentions excluded). Read it as a government-or-opposition indicator rather than a measure of influence — the figure is near 100% for members supporting the government of the day and near 0% for those opposing it.
This is the point of the site: contributions keep the party held on the day, not the one held now.

I am unsure as to what the Deputy's internal arrangement for sharing time is but the Deputy is probably over-----
Glaoim ar an Teachta Cairns ó na Social Democrats.
My question is on a similar issue in the context of Galway. I am seeking clarification on the overall strategy or master plan for countering the rising sea levels. I say that in the context of several reports. I refer to the current status report for Ireland 2020, in which the Environmental Protection Agency, EPA, and the Marine Institute point out that the sea level has risen by approximately 2 mm to 3 mm per year since the early 1990s. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, IPCC, working group notes that …
I have seen first-hand the work that the OPW and the local authority have done. I was there when the CFRAM timeline from 2011 to 2016 was announced. All of the work has been done and set out and all of the risks have been identified. There might well be some objections to the work, but my concern is over the delay. The steering committee that was set up was promised in March 2020. It met for the first time in September 2020. It was to produce a report within six months. It is now said that the report will be produc…
I do not doubt the bone fides of the Minister of State on this issue. I am on record as praising the OPW. My difficulty is the delay in delivery. The timeline for the CFRAM finished in 2016, which was the date of implementation and review. In Galway the completion date for the work to be done on the Spanish Arch and the surrounding areas, with over 940 properties to be protected, is in nine years' time. That is my difficulty. I also have a difficulty with the lack of knowledge in relation to the county. I can quote…
What about the interdepartmental group and the interim report?
The Standing Business Committee has completed its consideration under Standing Order 30 of the request by the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform to waive the requirement for pre-legislative scrutiny under Standing Order 173 on the general scheme and the draft heads of the Houses of the Oireachtas Commission (amendment) Bill 2021 and has agreed thereto.
I am returning to Priority Question No. 4, in the name of Carol Nolan.
Rachaidh mé ar ais mar tá Teachtaí Dála anseo. I will return now to the list of parliamentary questions again. I call now Deputy Boyd Barrett on Question No. 13.
Tá soiléiriú ag teastáil uaim ar an athbhreithniú atá idir lámha ag Údarás na Gaeltachta ar na córais agus ar an gcur chuige atá i bhfeidhm ag an údarás faoi láthair chun tacú le cur chun cinn na Gaeilge sna cliantchomhlachtaí agus ar na bealaí a dhéantar an t-ábhar a bhaineann leo a riaradh. Cathain a chríochnófar tuarascáil an athbhreithnithe agus cén uair a fhoilseofar é?
Tá sé soiléir anois go bhfuil athbhreithniú i gceist, go bhfuil an chéad chéim críochnaithe agus go bhfuil an t-údarás i mbun oibre leis an dara céim. Cén uair a thosaigh an t-athbhreithniú seo agus cathain a bheidh sé críochnaithe? Cé atá i mbun oibre: an próiseas inmheánach nó a bhfuil foireann sheachtrach i gceist? Tá an t-ábhar seo thar a bheith tábhachtach. Mar is eol don Aire Stáit, tá ardmheas ag muintir na Gaeltachta ar fud na tíre ar obair Údarás na Gaeltachta. Bhí beagnach 8,000 duine fostaithe aige faoi …
Tá an straitéis sin ar eolas agam agus tá sí léite agam agus tuigim go bhfuil cúig chuspóir faoi leith inti. Is é an rud is tábhachtaí ná go gcuirtear tús leis an taighde. Tá sé tábhachtach a chur in iúl dom cén uair a thosaigh an taighde agus cathain a bheidh sé críochnaithe, agus an bhfoilseofar é. Is cuid lárnach é seo den ról atá aige chun an Ghaeilge a chur chun cinn. Ní raibh monatóireacht éifeachtach i gceist go dtí seo. Ar a laghad tá sé sin admhaithe ag Údarás na Gaeltachta anois agus tá tús curtha leis an…
Baineann mo cheist le stádas phlean teanga Oileáin Árann agus plean teanga Ghaeltacht an Láir. Cén uair a bheidh na 26 plean teanga foilsithe? Cé mhéad atá ag feidhmiú faoi láthair?
Fáiltím roimh an dea-scéal go bhfuil suas le €100,000 faofa do chathair na Gaillimhe mar aitheantas ar na dúshláin bhreise a bhaineann léi ach bhain mo cheist le stádas phlean teanga Oileáin Árann agus Ghaeltacht an Láir. Tá sé ráite ag an Aire Stáit go mbeidh siad faofa gan rómhoill. Táimid ag cloisteáil an freagra ceannann céanna le bliain anuas. Cén uair go cruinn a bheidh na pleananna faofa ag Roinn an Aire Stáit? Cén fhad atá sé os a chomhair?
Gabhaim buíochas as an soiléiriú sin. Tá a fhios agam go bhfuil an tAire Stáit agus a oifigigh i mbun oibre ach tá práinn leis seo. Is í mo cheist go díreach ná cén fhad atá na pleananna os comhair an Aire Stáit nó os comhair na Roinne. Baineann an próiseas pleanála teanga leis an nGaeilge a chothú, a neartú agus a láidriú, toisc go bhfuil stádas na Gaeilge i mbaol. Tá sé sin aitheanta againn go léir agus ag an lucht acadúil. Seo cuid den phróiseas don 26 limistéar pleanála teanga. Cé mhéad atá ag feidhmiú agus cén…
Will latitude be given with regard to time as many speakers have not used all of their time?
I feel nauseated. I thank Deputy McGuinness. We did not think it was appropriate, given the profound nature of the disability, what has happened and the abuse, to give him a round of applause but he certainly deserves one. I feel nauseated. I was on the Committee of Public Accounts and following his very good work and the work of the committee, including Deputy Deasy. The current Minister of State, Deputy Fleming, was Chair at the time. It is testimony to Deputy McGuinness's creativity and the creativity of the com…
I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 27A and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Verona Murphy - to address the regulation of the planning regulator in view of recent judgments; (2) Deputy Dessie Ellis - to discuss the National Transport Authority's draft transport strategy for the greater Dublin area from 2022 to 2042.; (3) Deputies Gino Kenny, Richard Boyd Barrett, John Brady and Joan Collins - to address the decision by Isr…
