On prevailing side: this member voted with the winning side in 22 of 449 decisive votes (2 abstentions excluded). Read it as a government-or-opposition indicator rather than a measure of influence — the figure is near 100% for members supporting the government of the day and near 0% for those opposing it.

Party over time

This is the point of the site: contributions keep the party held on the day, not the one held now.

Ceisteanna ar Reachtaíocht a Gealladh - Questions on Promised Legislation

Members will have to give me a moment. I was writing very quickly when I took down the names of those offering. As a result, there are some names I cannot read. I call Deputy Michael Collins now. I have the other names down and I am doing my best.

Ceisteanna ar Reachtaíocht a Gealladh - Questions on Promised Legislation

Tá a fhios agam gurb é inniu Lá na nAmadán ach ní hí seo an chaoi chun déileáil le cúrsaí sa Teach. Más é do thoil é, bíodh meas agat ar an gCathaoirleach agus beagán níos mó measa agat ar an rud atá ag tarlú anseo. I call Deputy Ó Cathasaigh.

Prime Time Investigates Programme on Department of Health: Statements

The best way for us to show our respect and gratitude to the whistleblower, Shane Corr, is to stand with him and ensure that he does not suffer. We must also change the procedures after we find out what was done. While the Minister of State is praising a review, I do not accept it whatsoever because it is not independent. We must bear in mind that the latest revelation this morning was a memorandum praising someone who followed up, hunted down, chased up and followed up again on information that was going to be use…

Project Ireland 2040: Motion [Private Members]

Before dealing with the motion, I want to state that I share the concerns expressed by Deputy Boyd Barrett regarding the proposed development of our seas. While I am all for sustainable development, including wind energy, it must be done for the common good and not be driven by developers. If we have learned anything in recent years, that is something we should have learned. I fully share the concerns the Deputy expressed in this regard. Gabhaim buíochas leis an Rural Independent Group as ucht an rún seo a chur os …

Caring for Carers: Motion (Resumed) [Private Members]

Gabhaim buíochas leis an gCathaoirleach Gníomhach agus le Sinn Féin as an deis an t-ábhar seo a chur os comhair na Dála chun é a phlé. Tá an t-ábhar seo an-tábhachtach agus tá gá orainn beart a dhéanamh anois ar son na mban agus na bhfear atá ag saothrú ar ár son ar an talamh ionas go bhfuil cúrsaí eacnamaíochta go maith. I appreciate the opportunity to speak on this motion. I welcome the Minister's statement and look forward to hearing what the Minister of State, Deputy Rabbitte, has to say about the actions she i…

An tOrd Gnó - Order of Business

I want to place something on the record. In the recent past, Ipsos MRBI carried out a poll on who people trust and of 27 professions, politicians are third last. Only 24% of people have trust in politicians. Even bankers are higher than us. I am a politician and I have to say that I had that same feeling yesterday as I listened to the Taoiseach's plan to open up the country. I want to place it on the record that I have lost all trust in the way we are dealing with the pandemic. I ask the Taoiseach to commit to havi…

An tOrd Gnó - Order of Business

-----in respect of vaccinations, an overall policy, which should be zero Covid and control, and giving power back to the people. Talking about a passport for those who have been vaccinated or that I can eat indoors if I have been vaccinated but I cannot if I have not is extremely divisive. At this point, all I ask the Taoiseach to do is commit to having an ongoing item on the agenda every single month in this Dáil as part of the bargain in return for our support for draconian legislation.
