I am moving on. I call Deputy Clarke.
On prevailing side: this member voted with the winning side in 22 of 449 decisive votes (2 abstentions excluded). Read it as a government-or-opposition indicator rather than a measure of influence — the figure is near 100% for members supporting the government of the day and near 0% for those opposing it.
This is the point of the site: contributions keep the party held on the day, not the one held now.

This is not on the same issue.
As Deputy Bruton has already spoken, I will call Deputy Cullinane.
I can do nothing about that for the Deputy. He will have to take the matter up-----
I am sorry, but I am moving on to Deputy Cullinane.
Deputies, please. The clock is running.
I thank the Tánaiste for his co-operation. I have five or six Deputies offering. Some have spoken already, so they are off the list. If Deputies co-operate and take just 30 to 40 seconds for each of their questions, I will get through everyone on the list who has been waiting. We are out of time and I am dependent on Deputies' co-operation.
I welcome the opportunity to bring a number of matters to the attention of the Minister and I hope I will leave him enough time to respond to one or two of them. I appreciate the supports that have been introduced – one could not help but appreciate them – including the PUP, EWSS and CRSS. Without those, businesses would be completely gone. I refer to loan forbearance. The Minister may recall that during the first lockdown the CEOs of Ireland's five retail banks met the Minister, Deputy Donohoe, and a five-point pl…
I would appreciate if the Minister would check that, because that is not my understanding from the businesses that have contacted me. They specifically mentioned AIB, which told them they need a clear directive from the Government on such action not affecting a business's credit rating. The Minister can appreciate that a credit downgrade has a hugely negative effect on any businesses. It is a specific net point. I welcome the coach tourism business continuity scheme, but, as other speakers said, smaller niche compa…
Finally, there is the issue of the trading online voucher. The Tánaiste did not get a chance to respond on this earlier when another Deputy raised it. Again, there has been excellent uptake of the voucher. I understand that Údarás na Gaeltachta ran out of money, so the local enterprise office, LEO, in Galway took over. Will the Tánaiste comment on the trading online voucher? It is working and people are taking it up, but the money is not there. It would be remiss of me not to mention the failure to introduce legisl…
Four speakers from the Rural Independent Group are sharing time and Deputy Mattie McGrath is the first of them.
Baineann mo cheist leis na hionaid máithreacha agus leanaí. Is féidir a rá d'aon ghuth nár caitheadh go maith leis na máithreacha ná leis na leanaí seo agus nár taispeánadh meas riamh orthu siúd a bhí ann. Ghlac an Taoiseach céim shuntasach breis agus mí ó shin chun fáil réidh leis an dímheas sin nuair a thug sé leithscéal ar a shon féin, ar son an Rialtais agus ar son mhuintir na tíre do na máithreacha agus do na leanaí. Cheap mise gur chéim iontach a bhí ann chun fáil réidh leis an dímheas. Faraor ghéar, táimid a…
The purpose of an apology is to give meaningful action. A commission has destroyed evidence and yesterday the Minister told the Joint Committee on Children, Disability, Equality and Integration that the commission has said there is no way of retrieving it. Did he not make the Taoiseach aware of that letter? Second, I am asking that all of the correspondence be published. Third, we have again an imbalance of power. We have the powerful telling the powerless what they think is in their interest and that they should b…
The Taoiseach should know.
He should, by now.
Is the Bill being opposed?
Since this is a Private Members' Bill, Second Stage must, under Standing Orders, be taken in Private Members' time.
