We will come back to the Deputy. Deputy Michael Collins is sharing time with Deputies O'Donoghue and Danny Healy-Rae.
On prevailing side: this member voted with the winning side in 22 of 449 decisive votes (2 abstentions excluded). Read it as a government-or-opposition indicator rather than a measure of influence — the figure is near 100% for members supporting the government of the day and near 0% for those opposing it.
This is the point of the site: contributions keep the party held on the day, not the one held now.

We will come back to the Deputy. Deputy Michael Collins is sharing time with Deputies O'Donoghue and Danny Healy-Rae.
I thank Sinn Féin for bringing the motion. I support the motion. It is embarrassing to be here and to listen to the argument from Fianna Fáil Deputies who have supported the bringing in by the Taoiseach of the statutory instrument on 28 August. It seems little different from the previous one that was annulled by the Supreme Court and before that by the High Court in another situation. It is embarrassing because we need leadership. We need a change of direction from Covid-19. We need to realise that we have to suppo…
To ensure that as many Members as possible can comment, I will not allow Members or Ministers to exceed their time.
No, the Minister will reply first. There is just one 30-second slot for an introductory question. We will revert to each of the Deputies afterwards.
To explain, I will take Deputy Conway-Walsh for one minute, Deputy Ó Cuív for another minute and then the Minister, after which I will take the same two Teachtaí Dála again, followed by Deputy Calleary.
Park and ride has been an objective in the Galway city development plan since 2005 but it has never been rolled out. Has that been brought to the Minister's attention and can he make a statement on the matter?
I appreciate the Minister's frustration, engagement and determination but 15 years have passed and park-and-ride facilities have not been operated in Galway. There was a failed attempt by the chamber of commerce to run a facility at the former airport site when the airport fell. This project was not led by the city council. Indeed, its planners advised against it. Park-and-ride facilities have never been rolled out except at Christmas, when they are very successful. Some 15 years later, what are we going to do abou…
Ag bogadh ar aghaidh go Sinn Féin.
Copies of the Minister's contribution are available.
There are five Sinn Féin speakers in the next slot. Deputy O'Reilly will be first. The Deputies are managing their own time.
Deputy, please.
I thank the Deputy for keeping to time, which I appreciate. I call Deputy Canney, who is sharing time with Deputy Tóibín.
The next speaker is Deputy Darren O'Rourke. Is the Deputy sharing time?
I will take four minutes and leave two and a half to Deputy McNamara. I welcome the opportunity to speak but find it difficult not to despair at our inaction on climate change. I am totally on the Minister's side, as I said yesterday. We need to take urgent action. We declared a climate emergency on 9 May 2019. At the time, the then Taoiseach talked about that being symbolic and I am afraid that is what it has been. We were led by young children and declared a climate emergency through motions tabled by the Opposit…
I welcome the opportunity to speak on this Bill, which has been described as a straightforward tidying-up Bill that has not necessitated pre-legislative scrutiny. While I agree that the vast majority of the Bill's provisions amount to a tidying-up exercise, the decision not to have pre-legislative scrutiny should not have been taken. Pre-legislative scrutiny would have been a very good way of ensuring accountability and transparency and would have reassured me and my colleagues that that is the simple purpose of th…
I must now deal with a postponed division relating to amendment No. 2 in the name of the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport to the motion on the taxi industry taken on Wednesday, 16 September 2020. On the question, "That the amendment be made", a division was claimed and that division must now be taken.
I must now deal with a postponed division relating to amendment No. 1 in the name of the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection to the motion on workers' rights taken on Wednesday, 16 September 2020. On the question, "That the amendment be made", a division was claimed and that division must now be taken.
I must now deal with a postponed division relating to amendment No. 2 in the name of the Minister for Justice and Equality to the motion on community safety and fireworks taken on Tuesday, 22 September 2020. Thank you, Deputy.
