Deputy, please.
On prevailing side: this member voted with the winning side in 22 of 449 decisive votes (2 abstentions excluded). Read it as a government-or-opposition indicator rather than a measure of influence — the figure is near 100% for members supporting the government of the day and near 0% for those opposing it.
This is the point of the site: contributions keep the party held on the day, not the one held now.

Deputy, please.
I ask that Deputies stick to their time because there are many Deputies waiting and we will get through all the questions if we just stick to the times.
We are getting through the questions. If Deputies continue to co-operate it will benefit everyone.
My question relates to one of the recommendations in the report by the Joint Committee on Climate Action, namely, that an independent review be carried out of Coillte's activities. Is it the intention of the Government to carry out that independent review? If so, when will it be commissioned?
I welcome the Minister of State. I am disappointed with her response because it is the same response to which I have been listening for four years, having heard previous responses from civil servants. The Joint Committee on Climate Action made a very specific recommendation based on very specific reasons. Since then, climate change and biodiversity emergencies have been declared. Coillte owns over 50% of the forested land in Ireland so there are serious consequences here. The committee recommended a review. The sim…
I welcome the Minister of State's commitment, and that of the Government, but I think she is missing the urgency of this situation. We declared a climate emergency over a year ago. We have a biodiversity crisis and we have a serious problem with the way we proceeded with planting trees in Ireland, particularly Sitka spruce, although I am no expert. I know from sitting on the Committee of Public Accounts for five years the problems that emerged when the reports came before us. I am not laying blame; I am just asking…
I have two more minutes.
By agreement, Question No. 2 is being taken by Deputy Paul Murphy.
I ask the Minister and the Deputy to co-operate with regard to time so that we can let more Deputies in for questions. Each question is important to the Deputy asking it.
The Deputy has a minute to put her question.
I thank Deputy Clarke, who is well within her time. If we move on like this, a lot of Deputies will get in.
Go raibh maith agat, a Theachta.
Deputy, you are colleagues so I am not sure how you are sharing time.
I am sorry to interrupt. You did not indicate the breakdown of time.
No. It is a session for statements.
The Minister of State can reply at the end of the debate. She has ten minutes to reply.
Everyone has been very co-operative. If we continue to be co-operative, more people will have time to ask their questions.
I thank the Minister of State. With the Minister's co-operation we will get two more questions in.
Baineann mo cheist le hathrú aeráide, go háirithe an cinneadh a rinne an Chúirt Uachtarach ar an lá deireanach de mhí Iúil. Dúradh sa bhreithiúnas sin go raibh an plean, the mitigation plan, mídhleathach, go háirithe ó thaobh na ndualgas a bhí ar an Rialtas plean a leagan amach ag comhlíonadh na ndualgas a bhí air faoin reachtaíocht 2015. Significantly, on 9 May last year, we declared a climate emergency. We did so for very good reason: because the word "challenges" does not capture what we face with climate change…
I do not know if the Taoiseach realises the significance of the judgment. The mitigation plan has been declared invalid by the highest court in the land. This is beyond a matter learning lessons; it is a matter of acknowledging that the plan was utterly defective and telling us a timescale for the new plan. Under the 2015 Act there is a particular process of consultation. I therefore ask the Taoiseach to tell me what steps have been taken, when the national mitigation plan will be published and the date for its ena…
