On prevailing side: this member voted with the winning side in 22 of 449 decisive votes (2 abstentions excluded). Read it as a government-or-opposition indicator rather than a measure of influence — the figure is near 100% for members supporting the government of the day and near 0% for those opposing it.
This is the point of the site: contributions keep the party held on the day, not the one held now.

I call Deputy Mattie McGrath.
I thank the Deputy. Personal comments are not appropriate.
I ask the Deputy to do me the courtesy of listening to me. It is not appropriate to make personal comments. It does not help the debate and it does not strengthen the argument.
I am moving on to Deputy Verona Murphy.
Is the Deputy forsaking her second contribution?
I thank the Deputy. We will let the Minister of State conclude. As the proposer, he has two minutes.
The Minister of State might remind us.
We have allowed a good discussion on it and a lot of flexibility.
Amendment No. 91 arises out of committee proceedings. Amendments Nos. 91 and 92 are related and will be discussed together.
Cuirfear an Bille ar aghaidh chuig an Seanad anois.
I must now deal with a postponed division relating to the motion regarding petrol and diesel excise rate increases. On Tuesday, 30 April 2024, on the question, "That the amendment to the motion be agreed to", a division was claimed and in accordance with Standing Order 80(2), that division must be taken now.
I must now deal with a postponed division relating to the motion regarding the European Union Migration and Asylum Pact. On Wednesday, 1 May 2024, on the question, "That the amendment to the motion be agreed to", a division was claimed and in accordance with Standing Order 80(2), that division must be taken now.
That was a long reply, so we have one minute per person. There are a lot of speakers.

Deputy Pearse Doherty - To discuss the condemning of the building belonging to Raphoe community play group. Deputy Gary Gannon - To discuss the creation of a Dublin city centre task force to tackle violence. Deputy Bernard Durkan - To discuss the conditions at…
The Rural Independent Group will have two speakers who will have two minutes each.
My question is specifically about the expert negotiator the Minister has appointed to mediate between the Government and the religious organisations. Where is that process at? It is almost a year now. I think in about 25 days' time, it will be a year. It is a quarter of a century since the Taoiseach apologised for all of the institutional abuse that occurred in the industrial schools. We have now moved on to the mother and baby homes. All institutions were abusive, as we know. A quarter of a century later, and almo…
I thank the Minister for that welcome update regarding the number of applications. However, I will repeat: it is a quarter of a century since the apology, and every step of the way, every redress scheme has been faulty, including the one the Minister is standing over, which is unfair, unjust and excludes thousands of people. I think it excludes 24,000 people. It excludes those who suffered because of their race and those who were boarded out. The Minister knows that. The figure that has been allocated is €800 milli…
The Minister has confirmed that there have been no interim reports. We do not know when it will be published. Can he tell us if that report will be published after it goes to the Cabinet? I cannot emphasise enough the context of all of this. Every single scheme has been faulty. I am a great admirer of the religious orders; they do great work. However, they were not particularly good with respect to the institutions, to put it at its mildest. We are treating them with kid gloves after a deal was done - well before t…
