As two Members want to get in, there are only 30 seconds for the Minister to reply.
On prevailing side: this member voted with the winning side in 22 of 449 decisive votes (2 abstentions excluded). Read it as a government-or-opposition indicator rather than a measure of influence — the figure is near 100% for members supporting the government of the day and near 0% for those opposing it.
This is the point of the site: contributions keep the party held on the day, not the one held now.

Deputy Conway-Walsh will be followed by Deputy Buckley. There are two minutes left.
I am going through the list of speakers as is and the Minister will have time at the end. Many Members have not turned up but I cannot make that decision just yet because they may still. The Minister can use the time at the end to answer some of the questions that have not been answered. I move on to Deputy Holly Cairns from the Social Democrats.
We have run out of time for answers. I will stick to that and maybe at the end the Minister will generously use his time to reply. It will depend on whether the other slots are filled. People Before Profit-Solidarity is next and I call Deputy Boyd Barrett.
Does the Minister want to use the two minutes to come back on any question?
There are just 14 seconds left, and I do not think it would be fair to the Minister to have him try to answer in ten seconds.
No, there has been a robust exchange.
Perhaps there will be time at the end with the Government's reply.
There is no time for a response. Perhaps the Minister will reply during his next response.
I thank the Minister for sitting through this debate. It is one of the most important debates and it should take place at a regular interval. I also welcome the good news that the Minister has stood his ground in respect of negotiations with Iceland but if anything brings home how the fisheries policy from Europe is not sustainable, and the Minister has talked about sustainability, it is the Common Fisheries Policy, which is anything but sustainable. This debate is taking place in the context that the inshore fishe…
To talk real fish.
I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 37 and the name of the Member in each case: Verona Murphy - To discuss reasonable accommodations for State examinations for students who fall within the category of an English as an additional language learner. Patrick Costello - To discuss the ongoing arson attacks against proposed asylum centres. Marc MacSharry - To discuss measures to alleviate unacceptable delays in the consideration of appeals by …
Deputy, please.
I ask the Deputy to stay for the Topical Issue matter.
He is not listening. It is okay.
I would like to say that Topical Issue slots are fiercely fought for and lots of people put in applications. In my role as Leas-Cheann Comhairle, I have been there myself trying to pick them. We desperately try to be fair and just. To walk out when your Topical Issue is picked and being answered is not acceptable.
There is also a choice to withdraw.
The clock is running.
We are under pressure for time
I thank the Regional Group for this motion. It is putting the spotlight on something extremely important. It is a practical motion. It asks for a task force and an interim measure. It recognises the absence of access to affordable housing and housing in general. The only little problem I have is with the language to abolish the welfare trap. It is put in a very negative way. What the Regional Group is really asking is that the benefits the person gets from social welfare would continue, which assists the business. …
