I thank Senators Ahearn, Casey, Crowe and Gavan for their co-operation. I thank the Minister of State, Deputy English.
On prevailing side: this member voted with the winning side in 236 of 237 decisive votes (0 abstentions excluded). Read it as a government-or-opposition indicator rather than a measure of influence — the figure is near 100% for members supporting the government of the day and near 0% for those opposing it.
This is the point of the site: contributions keep the party held on the day, not the one held now.

When is it proposed to take Fifth Stage?
Is that agreed? Agreed.
I was where the Cathaoirleach is now when the Minister of State arrived. Our business had gone a bit ahead of schedule. This is a very important proposed EU directive and Government motion and, on behalf of the Fianna Fáil Party, I support it. The Minister of State is here on behalf of the Minister, Deputy McEntee, and the Minister of State, Deputy James Browne. The directive is being brought through the Houses, as the Minister of State outlined, because motions on directives brought forward need the approval of th…
I welcome the Minister of State back to the House. He will be here for a while this afternoon. A message has been received from Dáil Éireann concerning the amendments made by the Seanad to the Regulation of Providers of Building Works and Miscellaneous Provisions Bill 2022. The message has been set down in the Order Paper. The list of the amendments made by the Seanad and considered by the Dáil has been circulated for the information of Members. The Dáil considered and accepted those amendments. It also made an add…
Dáil Éireann has agreed to amendments Nos. 1 to 47, inclusive, and 49 made by Seanad Éireann to the Regulation of Providers of Building Works and Miscellaneous Provisions Bill 2022. Dáil Éireann has agreed to amendment No. 48 with the following amendment: "In inserted section 97, to delete “Act of 2003” and substitute “Act of 2004”.", to which the agreement of Seanad Éireann is desired. The Clerk to the Seanad will send a message to the Clerk of the Dáil certifying the determination of the Seanad.
This debate will adjourn at 6.45 p.m. if not previously concluded. For the information of the House, there is a revised numbered list of Seanad amendments. In the original numbered list of amendments, which was circulated on 29 June, the names of Senators Higgins and Ruane were inadvertently excluded from amendments Nos. 13 to 16, inclusive, 46 and 47, which has now been rectified. The new list of amendments was circulated to Senators at 12.52 p.m. today.
Amendments Nos. 1, 7, 26, 27, 68, 84 to 112, inclusive, and 142 are related and may be discussed together by agreement. Is that agreed? Agreed.
I thank the Minister of State for his comprehensive response to quite a large block of amendments.
I will give as much leeway as I can.
That is dealt with in section 6 but I will allow the Senator to keep going. The Minister of State may wish to reply when we are dealing with section 6.
As no other Senators are indicating, I invite the Minister of State to respond.
We are not dealing with amendment No. 4.
Senator Kyne also made that point.
As there are no further contributors, I will press the amendment.
Amendments Nos. 2 to 6, inclusive, 8 and 9 are related and may be discussed together by agreement. Is that agreed? Agreed.
Dublin Airport is faced with a lot of challenges and I ask that the Deputy Leader extends an invitation to attend this House to the Minister for Transport or the Minister of State at the Department of Transport, Deputy Hildegarde Naughton, who has responsibility for aviation. To be fair to the DAA and all of the staff in Dublin Airport, they are victims of their own success. The bounce back has been incredibly quick and large so there are challenges, which are clearly visible in terms of queueing, parking, etc. Sen…
Before the summer?
I thank the Senator for seconding them but Government motions do not require a seconder. I am sure the seconding is welcome anyway. Our next contributor is Senator Martin.
Is the Senator pressing the amendment?
