On prevailing side: this member voted with the winning side in 639 of 646 decisive votes (2 abstentions excluded). Read it as a government-or-opposition indicator rather than a measure of influence — the figure is near 100% for members supporting the government of the day and near 0% for those opposing it.

Party over time

This is the point of the site: contributions keep the party held on the day, not the one held now.

Covid-19 (Business, Enterprise and Innovation): Statements

I thank the Deputy for raising those issues. To be clear, I announced two weeks ago €1 billion worth of liquidity and grant supports for businesses. There is a long list of various supports available. We are considering another package of supports, which we will announce in due course. I am working with the Minister for Finance, Deputy Donohoe, on that. After the initial shock, some €4 billion in supports were provided through the wage subsidy scheme and the pandemic unemployment payment. That money is already avai…

Covid-19 (Business, Enterprise and Innovation): Statements

Deputies have asked specific questions on various schemes. Due to time constraints, I cannot address them individually. Ms Orlaith Mannion has agreed that the Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection will provide Members with written answers to clarify some of the issues raised. It is important to acknowledge where we stand. The live register figures…

Emergency Measures in the Public Interest (Covid-19) Bill 2020: Second Stage (Resumed)

I thank all the Deputies who have contributed to the debate today. I ask for their indulgence because many issues have been raised. I will try to respond to as many as I can but for those that I do not address there will be an opportunity for the relevant Ministers to discuss them on Committee Stage. I share the concerns expressed about increased reliance on moneylending during the crisis and would strongly encourage people to consider their local credit unions and to approach the Money Advice and Budgeting Service…
