On prevailing side: this member voted with the winning side in 634 of 639 decisive votes (0 abstentions excluded). Read it as a government-or-opposition indicator rather than a measure of influence — the figure is near 100% for members supporting the government of the day and near 0% for those opposing it.
This is the point of the site: contributions keep the party held on the day, not the one held now.

I have received notice from the following Senators that they propose to raise the following matters: Senator Ned O'Sullivan - The need for the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment to review the powers of enforcement under the Companies Act 2014 in the case of a public company defaulting on its obligation to allow access to the register of members. Senator Tim Lombard - The need for the Minister for Education to make a statement on the review of the scheme of reasonable accommodations at certificate examina…
I welcome the Minister of State, Deputy Calleary.
I welcome the students from Balla national school in County Mayo. I am sure they are no stranger to the Leader. I welcome them to Leinster House and hope they have a very enjoyable and pleasant visit. I am sure they will join with me in thanking their teachers for all the work they do on their behalf. President Biden said, "Mayo for Sam" but I will say, "Cork for Sam", having seen Cork play Mayo on 17 May. In keeping with the spirit of school visits, I decree a no homework day for the students when they return to s…
Excellent.
I welcome Deputy Violet-Anne Wynne to the Public Gallery with her guests. I also welcome the students from Claremorris in County Mayo. There must be a big exodus from Mayo to Leinster House today because this is the second school from Mayo to visit us. President Biden said, “Mayo for Sam” but I will say, “No homework tonight and tomorrow night.” I thank the teachers for all their work and hope they enjoy their visit to our Oireachtas. The other school was going to Croke Park. The students here tell me they are goin…
I do not think Senator Boylan would be too impressed.
I intervened last week to thank Senator Lombard for this. I also commend Councillors Murphy and O'Sullivan. I was bemused by the loss of the blue flag status. I use that beach every week in winter, summer, spring and autumn. Members who have not been in west Cork should please visit Garretstown. It is one of the most idyllic spots in the country. That week did more damage to the tourism industry than anything else. I know I should not make comments as Chair but I want to commend Senator Lombard and Councillors Murp…
I commend Senator Carrigy on the training that I undertook with the Ceann Comhairle last Friday.
I ask Members of the different groupings in Leinster House to encourage their members to sign up to the training. It is a wonderful hour and a half. As Senator Carrigy said, we are aspiring to be the first autism-friendly Parliament. I ask Members of different groups to persuade their members and staff to engage in the process. It would be much appreciated. The Ceann Comhairle and I have done the training. It is both educational and informative.
I thank Senator Boyhan. On that point, 980 families from Cork have benefited from Ronald McDonald House. It has a wonderful map of the country that shows how every county in Ireland has benefited from the house. One other statistic is that one family from Armagh visited. It is interesting. I thank Senator Boyhan. It is a wonderful charity.
On a point of clarification, arising from yesterday's proceedings, I received a number of telephone calls and emails. I wish to inform people, predominantly those listening from outside the House, that as I adjudicate on amendments to all Bills, I am governed, as Members here know, by Standing Orders. That is why amendments are ruled out of order. It is not a personal decision by me, as Chair. I wish to inform people outside the House who are watching and listening that the amendments are ruled out of order as per …
Senator Boyhan been given the task of moving amendments in the absence of Members. How stands the amendment?
Is that agreed by the House? Agreed.
Amendments Nos. 117 and 118 are out of order because they involve a potential charge on revenue.
Amendments Nos. 119 to 121, inclusive, are out of order because they involve a potential charge on revenue.
Amendments Nos. 122 and 123 are out of order because they involve a potential charge on revenue.
