On prevailing side: this member voted with the winning side in 440 of 443 decisive votes (0 abstentions excluded). Party over time

This is the point of the site: contributions keep the party held on the day, not the one held now.

Reports on Department of Health Policy in RTÉ Investigates Programme: Statements

I appreciate that. Like Senator Ruane, Senator Carrigy brought a personal dimension to the debate that complements the heartfelt remarks of the rest of the membership of the House. I invite the Minister of State to respond to this important debate.

That committed, skilful approach is so appreciated by the people of the country and was necessary in this context. In the time allowed, I can only do a little survey of some of …

I have received notice from Senator Rónán Mullen that, on the motion for the Commencement of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter: The need for the Minister for Health to make a statement on the importance of reopening places of worship, on a limited basis with appropriate safety measures in place, to facilitate Holy Week and Easter ceremonies for people of all Christian denominations. An tOrd Gnó - Order of Business

I point out again, because it is important, that the Senator and all other Senators should be cautious in referring to a person outside the House who is not in a position to defend himself or herself. We adopted Standing Orders to that effect last December, namely, Standing Orders 49A, 49B and 49C. The Senators should note and be aware of them so as not to be in breach of them. Our next speaker is Senator Fitzpatrick.
