I invite the Minister of State to respond.
On prevailing side: this member voted with the winning side in 440 of 443 decisive votes (0 abstentions excluded). Read it as a government-or-opposition indicator rather than a measure of influence — the figure is near 100% for members supporting the government of the day and near 0% for those opposing it.
This is the point of the site: contributions keep the party held on the day, not the one held now.

When is it proposed to sit again?
I welcome the Minister of State, Deputy Rabbitte, to the House. It is good to have her here.
I welcome the Minister to the House. The matter I raise is a continuation of a similar theme. Getting the maximum number of people housed is the issue. Housing for All, the Government's multi-annual, multi-euro programme, is aimed at improving Ireland's housing system and delivering more homes for all types of people with all types of housing needs. We are all aware in this House that housing policy is undergoing a period of immense reform. We are also in agreement that such reform is necessary to prevent the housi…
I could not agree more with the Minister of State's latter comments. The current guidelines came into operation in 1999. They have not been updated since 2009. That makes the review and updating of them very urgent. I am happy to note that there is commitment to immediate progress. We should be looking more at modular homes. We should look at timber-framed homes and at building up in the cities. Look at the situation on the Continent. We can build up in the cities in a way that is beautiful and intelligent. We have…
Before we proceed, I join the Cathaoirleach in welcoming the Maltese delegation. I had the privilege of meeting them with the Joint Committee on Foreign Affairs committee yesterday. I echo the Cathaoirelach's words and those of the other Senators on that. They are very welcome. We are friendly countries with a lot of cultural ties and many political issues in common. It is great to have everyone here and I hope this will start a period of further friendship between our two great countries. I echo the words of our C…
I join Senators O'Loughlin and Ward in congratulating Síofra O'Leary, who I have met on many occasions in Strasbourg, on her appointment as chief judge in the European Court of Human Rights. It is a wonderful honour and huge personal achievement for her. She is, as Senator O'Loughlin will know, a particularly nice individual and a lovely lady who is proud of her Irish identity. Her father was Captain of the Guard here and a member of the staff for many years. It is something of which all the staff of the House can …
I thank the Senator. That was a great exemplar of proper adherence to the time.
I call Senator Flynn, on behalf of the Civil Engagement Group. I will compensate her for yesterday.
As a former chairperson of the Cavan branch of the INTO, I endorse that. The Senator is correct.
I call Senator Malcolm Byrne and thank him for the courtesy that he showed people who had been waiting for a long time.
I thank the Senator for his exemplary timing.
That sounds like an attractive option.
I thank the Deputy Leader for her comprehensive response.
I welcome the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth, Deputy O'Gorman, to the House. He has many and varied positive interactions with us.
I thank the Minister.
I thank Senator Boyhan for his words.
I thank Senator Ruane very much. Senator Ned O'Sullivan has requested a one-minute intervention.
I thank Senator O'Sullivan very much indeed. We would all echo those remarks, which are very appropriate from a senior Member who has a passionate interest in this area. It is my duty now to call the Minister to respond to the debate.
I thank the Minister and colleagues very much indeed. This has been a very different and difficult debate. I thank everyone for their approach.
