I wish to raise a point of order.
On prevailing side: this member voted with the winning side in 281 of 283 decisive votes (0 abstentions excluded). Read it as a government-or-opposition indicator rather than a measure of influence — the figure is near 100% for members supporting the government of the day and near 0% for those opposing it.
This is the point of the site: contributions keep the party held on the day, not the one held now.

I wish to raise a point of order.
What section in the Bill are you discussing?
Can you outline what section?
I would like-----
I would like that removed from the record.
I am not finished either.
I wish to speak to section 70(4). That has the same language, and states that "as soon as practicable after a copy of the annual report is submitted to him or her under subsection (1) cause a copy of it to be laid before each House of the Oireachtas". Again, I think it might be an idea to put in a timeframe there. The phrase "as soon as practicable" can mean anything to anyone, and given the importance of the plan, it would be fitting to put a timeframe there. While we can trust the Minister's bona fides, maybe som…

On the annual report and its publication, could the Minister confirm that the report will be published both in English and Irish? There have been a number of issues over the years of various Government bodies and different organisations not publishing reports in the two languages. There have been particular issues within An Garda Síochána and the use of Irish and not providing gardaí who can serve the Irish-speaking community both within and outside the Gaeltacht areas.
If the Minister could confirm the reports will be published in both languages, I would appreciate it.
The question I asked the Minister, to which I did not hear a response, was whether this would also be published in the Irish language.
I thank Senators O'Reilly and Garvey for bringing this excellent motion. I am very happy to speak on it. Some very good points have been set out. It is clear that prevention is better than cure. It is incredible to think that when somebody is faced with a life-and-death situation like cancer, the most upsetting thing is hair loss. This is because it is so visible and makes people feel very vulnerable and exposed. Many people try to hide their illness, particularly from their children. Things are in flux in the fami…
A Leas-Chathaoirligh, I would like to welcome some guests to the Gallery.
She also sent the message to me.
There is no need to take the head off me.
I said "a Leas-Chathaoirligh" and acknowledged you as Leas-Chathaoirleach.
I welcome the group from Loreto Secondary School in Balbriggan. They are sixth-year politics students and I am very happy to be hosting them here today. They are a group of very enthusiastic students, here along with their teacher, Anne-Marie Ryan. They do a great job in Loreto Secondary School in Balbriggan. I am proud that many of the students have gone on to study politics at third level, so it is very fitting these students are here today in Leinster House. I would appreciate if everyone would give them all a w…
You will be happy to hear I will not take the full six minutes, a Chathaoirleach Gníomhach. I thank the Minister of State for coming in and outlining the Bill. As she said, it is a technical Bill that we debate annually. The community rating, which is a central tenet of private health insurance in Ireland, is important. It is great she has outlined the various changes to support the community rating system we operate. It is in direct contrast to other jurisdictions wherein sicker and older people pay astronomical p…
