Is the Minister of State going to publish the guidance?
On prevailing side: this member voted with the winning side in 47 of 964 decisive votes (12 abstentions excluded). Read it as a government-or-opposition indicator rather than a measure of influence — the figure is near 100% for members supporting the government of the day and near 0% for those opposing it.
This is the point of the site: contributions keep the party held on the day, not the one held now.

Is the Minister of State going to publish the guidance?
I thank the Minister of State for being here for this matter. I wish to raise two specific issues with him. In the interest of brevity and clarity, because I tabled a parliamentary question on this very recently, I know exactly how many homes are purchased, how many are in train to purchase and exactly what is going on formally. I wish to bring to his attention what is actually happening to some of the families in my constituency. I am currently working with about ten people who are at immediate risk of homelessnes…
I genuinely thank the Minister of State for that, but there is a systemic issue here. I can give him the list and the names right now, and that is fine. Will the Minister of State specifically address the letter that has been issued informing the tenant she must wait until she is eight weeks out? The Minister of State stated: "Local authorities take appropriate steps to ensure their first response will be to support households to try to prevent homelessness in cases where tenants have been served with a notice of t…
Hear, hear.
That is nonsense.
I am thankful for the opportunity to make a contribution. Sinn Féin supports the overall idea of auto-enrolment. We have consistently advocated for the introduction of a fit-for-purpose auto-enrolment scheme. In this State, we are very late to this type of pensions policy, as the Minister acknowledged. It is essential, however, that an undertaking as significant as this is done right. It is extremely unfortunate that this legislation has not been done right. It does not follow best practice. It does not ensure the …
Three phone calls.
Three phone calls.
It is absolutely ridiculous. Deputy Naughton should have had a better story before she came in here.
He has three phone calls to make.
Thank you for the opportunity to make a contribution this afternoon. Sinn Féin has consistently called for corporation tax receipts to be used with caution, having a mind to their potential volatility. For this reason we have said that such tax receipts should not be committed to recurring, day-to-day expenditure. Additionally, we have advocated for the need to grow our indigenous and exporting sector in order to diversify our economy and limit our exposure, to dilute the State's economic concentration and reduce a…
Speaker after speaker will tell the Minister of State that the Government is out of touch and, clearly, it is. I will give an example from my own area, because I think the Minister of State's knowledge of the facts is slightly less than ideal. I have two offices: one in Balbriggan and one in Swords. I am the only Deputy in my constituency who offers that, so naturally I get a lot more traffic through my office than most. I will give two examples to the Minister of State. There is a young couple who I know fairly we…
Instead of blaming the patients and the staff-----
-----you should look at yourselves.
I do not propose to dwell on this. We have debated it, the committee has discussed it, and I am fairly well across the detail on it. However, I agree with the point made by Deputy Naughten. As the Minister of State knows, my party has not taken a position. Like every political party, mine has its own decision-making processes, but we have supported the holding of a referendum and will take a position closer to the time. It would be doing a disservice to the referendum and its wording if people went into the polling…
I wish the Leas-Cheann Comhairle, everyone else here and those watching the proceedings a happy International Women's Day because we have much to be concerned about. Every International Women's Day when I have an opportunity to speak, I send my solidarity, as I do today, to the women of Ukraine, Palestine, Yemen, Syria, Cuba and Afghanistan and to all women who struggle. I want to mention in particular our trans sisters. This time last year, I said we should not allow the floor of our Parliament to be used as some …
Gabhaim buíochas leis an Teachta Tully ar an rún seo anocht. I had intended to reference the hurtful, tone deaf and quite frankly disgraceful comments made by An Taoiseach recently in the media but I will not dignify those comments by repeating them. What I will say is this. We, in Sinn Féin, see the importance of the State and the role the State must play in supporting carers and people with disabilities. It is a very great pity that the man who heads the Government does not see the same. Government policy is writ…
I thank Deputy Connolly for facilitating the swap. I want to talk to the Minister of State about a young woman in my constituency by the name of Rebecca. Rebecca has ADHD and she is also a mental health service user. When Rebecca turned 18 fairly recently, she was discharged from the child and adolescent mental health services, CAMHS, into the adult mental health service. It is not going to come as a surprise to the Minister of State and I am not telling her anything she does not know, but it does seem to have come…
She is in CHO 9.
Rebecca's mam will be delighted to hear the Minister of State say that and maybe say it loud enough for all the people in the mental health services to hear it as well. I absolutely welcome the establishment of the teams. I press the Minister of State for a date on when we will see one in CHO 9, as I am sure she would expect me to do. However, there are issues in the short term in advance of the establishment of the team. As the Minister of State says, there is no team in my area - no more than there is in her own …
