Three Deputies wish to come in on supplementary questions on this, so I ask them to keep them as concise as possible. I call Deputy Murnane O'Connor.
On prevailing side: this member voted with the winning side in 748 of 752 decisive votes (3 abstentions excluded). Read it as a government-or-opposition indicator rather than a measure of influence — the figure is near 100% for members supporting the government of the day and near 0% for those opposing it.
This is the point of the site: contributions keep the party held on the day, not the one held now.

Three Deputies wish to come in on supplementary questions on this, so I ask them to keep them as concise as possible. I call Deputy Murnane O'Connor.
And a roads update from Mayo.
Now, Minister, you have a minute to tour the country.
I understand Deputy Griffin is taking Question No. 37 on behalf of Deputy Alan Farrell.
Competing demands for the Minister.
Imagine, I gave the Minister nearly a minute extra and she did not mention Waterford at all.
They have been delivered.
Does Deputy Donnelly want to come back in?
We have time for a final question but may have to truncate it slightly.
I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 37 and the name of the Member in each case: Deputy Bernard Durkan - To discuss the increasingly aggressive manner in which lending agencies are pursuing borrowers in respect of impaired loans and mortgages. Deputy Jennifer Murnane O'Connor - To discuss the expansion of dental care for patients and increased fees for dental contractors. Deputy Brian Stanley - To discuss the lack of dental services for c…
With respect to Topical Issue No. 3, I am afraid there is no Minister to take it. I will have to refer this to the Ceann Comhairle's office and ask him to take the submission of the Deputies' Topical Issue into consideration, be it tomorrow or Thursday. Currently, there is no Minister to take their Topical Issue.
As the Deputy will understand, I am not in a position to make a commitment one way or another from where I am currently sitting. I will speak to the Office of the Ceann Comhairle. I agree with her sentiments that it is unacceptable.
I will certainly undertake to do that.
I have made the same point, with our positions reversed.
I will reiterate that point to the Ceann Comhairle.
The issue in the Middle East rightly dominated the European Council meeting, just as it is rightly dominating this debate today. Although there is much else happening in the world, it is only right and proper that our attention is focused on the unfolding humanitarian disaster playing out in Gaza. I am looking at the conclusions adopted by the European Council, which are like minutes published after the meeting, and something within them is extremely striking. Look at the clarity of language when talking about Ukra…
I move: That leave be granted to introduce a Bill entitled an Act to amend and extend the Local Government Act 2001 and, for that purpose, to provide for applications for a community garden; to require local authorities to publish a community garden policy; and to provide for related matters. I begin my contribution using the words of Justyna Traore, one of the driving forces behind the Top of the City community garden, which sits perched at the top of Barrack Street in the heart of Waterford and overlooking Irelan…
I move: "That the Bill be taken in Private Members' time."
When will the new domestic violence leave policy come into effect? What will the rate of payment be? How might a person avail of the leave from the effective date?
I thank the Minister. I acknowledge the amount of work within the Work Life Balance and Miscellaneous Provisions Act the Minister referenced. It includes five days of unpaid leave for parents for medical care purposes. It also includes five days' leave for the victims of domestic violence we are discussing this evening. It further includes the right to request flexible working for parents and carers and the right to request remote working for all employees. It also includes two years of breast-feeding breaks. If I …
