On prevailing side: this member voted with the winning side in 748 of 752 decisive votes (3 abstentions excluded). Read it as a government-or-opposition indicator rather than a measure of influence — the figure is near 100% for members supporting the government of the day and near 0% for those opposing it.
This is the point of the site: contributions keep the party held on the day, not the one held now.

I draw the Minister's attention to an issue we are encountering around recruitment of qualified bus and haulage drivers. It is a real constriction point within the economy. We have access to an excellent pool of qualified bus and haulage drivers from abroad but some of the quirks in the system mean that the people who are coming in are sitting around for three months without being able to get into work. There is a delay in drivers getting appointments for their Irish residency permits and then a delay in processing…

Very good. Amendments Nos. 72 to 74, inclusive, are related and may be discussed together by agreement. Is that agreed? Agreed.
I take the opportunity to pay tribute to a long-time member of NESC, Mr. Michael Ewing, who passed away last week. Michael served for a decade on NESC, representing the environmental pillar. He was instrumental in establishing the environmental pilar which became the fifth pillar of social partnership. He was a kind, considerate and very pragmatic man who had a deep passion for a healthy and thriving environment. He believed in dialogue and in talking to people we disagree with. We need more of that kind of spirit …
The next is a Government slot. I call Deputy McAuliffe.
If the Deputy could do so briefly.
I understand that the Deputy made this point yesterday on the Order of Business.
The Ceann Comhairle heard the Deputy's argument and clearly decided to proceed.
It is open to the Deputy to correspond with the Committee on Standing Orders and Dáil Reform to raise the point and I invite him to do so. I am informed that it is not open to a Member of the Opposition to move towards a vote on suspension of Standing Orders unless it is Private Members' time.
It was the Ceann Comhairle who was in the Chair at the time the Deputy first raised the point on the Order of Business yesterday.
