Amendment No. 24 in the names of Senators Ruane, Black and Flynn arises out of amendments made in the Dáil. It has already been discussed with the amendments in group 22.
On prevailing side: this member voted with the winning side in 66 of 66 decisive votes (0 abstentions excluded). Read it as a government-or-opposition indicator rather than a measure of influence — the figure is near 100% for members supporting the government of the day and near 0% for those opposing it.
This is the point of the site: contributions keep the party held on the day, not the one held now.

I join with my colleagues in paying tribute to Chuck Feeney, who did so much not only for education but also for peace initiatives on this island. He supported everything he did quietly and without looking for recognition or publicity. He championed the idea of giving while living and, in many ways, got a lot more people who had a lot of money, including billionaires around the world, to follow his example. For that, we in Ireland, especially those who benefited from his concept of giving while living, should be fo…
The Minister of State is most welcome. He has ten minutes. Group spokespersons will have seven minutes and all other Senators will have four.
I thank the Minister of State for coming to Seanad Éireann this evening.
Is that agreed? Agreed.
Senator, the Minister has four minutes to speak.
The Minister of State can conclude any time she wishes.
Senator, the Minister of State should be allowed to contribute without interruption.
The Minister of State should be allowed to contribute without interruption.
The Minister, without interruption.
The Senator has had his one minute and the Minister of State replied. I asked him not to interrupt her when she was speaking. I thank the Minister of for being present.
The Tánaiste is most welcome. I am sure Senator Lombard will not interrupt him.
I probably would not interrupt my boss, to be honest with the Senator. I am sure the Senator appreciated getting a comprehensive answer.
I thank the Tánaiste for coming to Seanad Éireann today.
Gabhaim buíochas leis an gCathaoirleach. I join with him in marking the day of German unity, the 33rd anniversary of which occurs today. It is important to acknowledge the role Ireland had in that fateful decision by the European Union to support reunification because it seemed to come at a thunderous pace and Europe was catching up. It was in Dublin where the European leaders came together and with the leadership of our Taoiseach at the time, they made the decision to support German reunification. Of course, we ha…
I thank the Taoiseach for being with us in Seanad Éireann today, as well as for outlining the work of the newly established child poverty and well-being programme in his office. In a very real way, it gives truth to the pledge in the 1916 Proclamation, which is in the main hall of Leinster House and speaks of "cherishing all the children of the nation equally". In the past number of years, Members of Seanad Éireann have implemented the Seanad reform recommendations set in the various reports where it was within the…
